MM Digicarton™

30.11.2011 - Virgin Fibre Cartonboard

A world premiere

With MM Digicarton™, a new quality became part of our portfolio that is hard to compete with – the worldwide first FBB carton that has been homologated for HP digital print! Alternated consumer behaviour, improved processing technologies have led to a strong increase in digital print for years, but not only in direct mail or books. With + 27 % packaging holds the strongest share. The reasons are manifold:

  • Personalization: Ideal for promotions, trial runs for products or variants for regionally different markets. Consumers show their appreciation for those “individualised” products also in attaching a higher value.
  • Smaller quantities can be produced; even print-on-demand and “unique” prints are possible, all with a clearly shorter preparation time. This results in less waste and a more efficient supply-chain leading also to a further decrease in costs.
  • Fast technological progress, particularly in the optimized printing quality.

Thus the summary is quite clear: Digital printing offers a key technology for new profitable applications and business areas. On the search for sustainable printing technics, one of the most crucial issues is however the selection of the right printing medium. MM Digicarton™ is therefore a practical and attractive solution in GC2 quality, that came on the market which has excellent environmental indicators and can be tailored for special business solutions.

MMK has been co-operating with several printing machine manufacturers for quite a while developing tests for sheet and web-fed print. The compatibility of MM Digicarton™ has been homologated for two printing machines by Hewlett-Packard (Indigo WS6000 and WS6600),the most modern devices of its kind. Further FBB and WLC qualites will follow soon.

MM Digicarton™ is available for the grammages 230, 250 and 275 gsm.

We are looking forward to your enquirires!
