With ALASKA® BARRIER GREASE, MM Board & Paper has developed a hard sized virgin fibre cartonboard quality that provides the most innovative barrier against grease and also offers moisture protection. This product has been specially designed to cater to the needs of the chilled, frozen, dry food, and food service segments and making an important contribution to a more sustainable future.

The best in class grease resistance (Level: I >120h) and moisture protection offered by ALASKA® BARRIER GREASE guarantees high packaging stability, even at low temperatures, while also providing protection against grease spots and discoloration on the packaging. This innovative packaging material is light-weighted and provides highest performance in converting and filling. The new product complements our proven ALASKA® portfolio with its excellent printability and best finishing characteristics.

ALASKA® BARRIER GREASE is produced with fibres from sustainably managed forests and is easily recyclable within the established paper and board recycling streams. It is a more sustainable and cost-effective alternative to PE coating and is produced with water-based dispersion barrier without any fluorinated polymers. By replacing 1,000 tons of standard PE coated cartonboard with ALASKA® BARRIER GREASE, emission savings equivalent to 2,400 flights from Vienna to London are achieved!
