A book for four meals: MM donates high-quality cover cartonboard

07.11.2022 - Virgin Fibre Cartonboard, Customer Stories, Company / Mills

With a donation of three tons of ALASKA® WHITE (formerly Arktika) cartonboard, MM is supporting the publication of a book, with proceeds going to charity.

A book to help the disadvantaged
Each year, since 2014, the Editis group has published a new edition of 13 à table! a collection of short stories written by well-known French authors. All proceeds from the sale of this collection are donated to the charity organization "Restos du Cœur" with each book representing four meals distributed. The publication of the first eight volumes of 13 à table! has enabled the provision of over 6 million meals.

Cartonboard donation from MM Board & Paper
For the production of the cover of the ninth edition, MM donated three tons of ALASKA® WHITE board. On the cover, Esther, the iconic character of artist Riad Sattouf, flies into space with a book. The high contrast glossy surface perfectly highlights this illustration.

"The current energy crisis and inflation are a massive burden for many people. This makes it all the more important for us to support the humanitarian commitment of charitable institutions like "Restos du Cœur" and in so doing, help those in need," emphasises Michael Wadsak, Vice President Sales MM Board & Paper at the publication of the book.
