With MM GT White, MM Board & Paper is expanding its portfolio of high-quality recycled cartonboard with a particularly functional material, tailor-made for the high aesthetic demands of packaging cosmetics and personal care products.
"With the development of MM GT White, we're providing a clear response to the increasing demand from high-end product segments like cosmetics and personal care, which are exploring alternatives for fresh fibre applications," explains Michael Strobl, Head of Technical Product Services.
Its outstanding whiteness allows for a remarkably precise reproduction of text and images and makes it suitable for a variety of finishing techniques. The cartonboard can be finished with cold transfer, as well as various types of embossing for an even more eye-catching finish.
Recyclable cartonboard
MM GT White is produced at MM in Gernsbach, one of the most efficient recycled cartonboard mills in Europe. It consists of 70 percent recycled fibres and is 100 percent recyclable. This is possible thanks to a recent investment in a new rolling system, which improves the surface properties of the cartonboard even further without compromising its recyclability. Since then, not only can more sustainable carbonboard be produced in Gernsbach, but it also meets the high requirements of the pharmaceutical and cosmetics industries.
